Workplace-Based Vocational Training

This is a practice carried out in businesses to help Vocational School students develop their professional knowledge and skills and gain experience. In this model—also known as the 3+1 model—students spend their final semester receiving hands-on training in a company.

Our university has decided to implement this education model to increase our students’ employment rates and has put it into practice. Students complete their final semester without coming to campus, by directly participating in business life full-time and uninterrupted for 15 weeks, accomplishing their coursework through practical applications.

What will Workplace-Based Vocational Training provide?

  • Students will integrate the theoretical knowledge they have acquired in their field with hands-on training carried out at workplaces under the guidance of experts, within the scope of the course titled “Workplace-Based Vocational Training,” thereby developing the practical skills required for qualified employment.
  • They will learn experience and know-how on site; their teamwork ability, work discipline, and sense of responsibility will improve.
  • They will have the opportunity to meet the business world while still studying and will not experience adaptation problems after graduation.
  • They will find opportunities to improve themselves in workplaces; their experience and self-confidence will increase, and they will be able to plan their careers for the future.
  • Students will get acquainted with business life and have job-finding opportunities while studying, and they will graduate with four months of work experience.
